Samsung Galaxy Tabs latest news, specifications and reviews.

Is Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 a Kindle Fire Killer?

Samsung is on an absolute tear as of late, and shows no signs of slowing down. Leaked today from their official RSS feed, and quickly taken down thereafter, is the 7 inch screen toting, Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 packing, Galaxy Tab 2. While it’s not packing “to die for” specs like either the ASUS Transformer Prime 700T, or any of the quad core tablets set to come to market in the next few months, or even specs on par with ASUS 7 inch’ MeMo 370T, it still looks like it has the right components in place to satisfy consumers. Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab not getting ICS

Ics update samsung galaxy

Just recently, Samsung updated us on its Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) update schedule and which devices are getting it and to our great disappointment the Samsung Galaxy S and the 7-inch original Galaxy Tab are not in there. But that’s little consolation for those owning Samsung’s 2010 flagship or Samsung’s first tablet. Interestingly, the Nexus S, which is very similar to the Galaxy S, [...]

Best Tablets of 2011

Tablets 2011

With the arrival of the iPad came a sinking feeling amongst the tech competition. Is Apple going to do it again? Are they going to invent a new device we have to play catch up with for two years? Not this time they thought as every manufacturer scrambled to splurge out as many tablets as it could. Along came Honeycomb and dual-core devices, with things like Tegra 2 and a rapid release schedule eventually putting Android ahead of Apple in the power stakes. The iPad 2 then brought the big A back up to speed and everyone could rest easy [...]

Galaxy Tab 7.0 review

Galaxy Tab 7.0

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus review Yes, it’s another 7-inch tablet, and it joins the ever-expanding portfolio of slates that eschew the “bigger is better” philosophy shared by the 9.7-inch iPad family and all the 10.1-inch Android tablets that first attempted to challenge Apple’s tablet dominance. By going with a 7-inch screen, Samsung is targeting the same dimensions employed by both RIM’s failed PlayBook tablet and Amazon’s upcoming Kindle Fire. Obviously, no one was interested in the PlayBook, but the Fire is a highly anticipated tablet — in part because its diminutive size is considered more wieldy in one’s hands. [...]
